Meghan possesses a diverse skill set that has cemented her reputation as a sought-after communications expert. Her ability to navigate multiple complex situations, think quickly, communicate effectively, craft creative messaging, and lead diverse teams has been instrumental in her success.
Meghan has excelled in navigating politically sensitive and high-stakes environments across both corporate and government sectors. Her expertise extends to consulting for a diverse range of clients, including climate tech startups, political entities, and Fortune 100 companies. She offers strategic guidance on topics such as sustainability, clean energy, and communications and public affairs strategies, demonstrating her adaptability and effectiveness across different industries and challenges.
Recently, she served as the chief of staff to the General Counsel and Global Head of Communications and Government Affairs at AIG, Inc., where she developed external affairs strategies for the CEO and other top executives.
Prior to her role at AIG, Inc., Meghan spent eight years as a senior communications leader for President Joe Biden, working alongside him from his Vice Presidency through his candidacy and into his presidency. As Special Assistant to the President and Director of Message Planning, Meghan's responsibilities encompassed strategic messaging for the President's public engagements, crisis communications, maintaining relationships with the White House press corps, and leading strategic planning for domestic and foreign travels.
Meghan's corporate communications expertise extends further during her tenure as the Executive Director of Enterprise Communications at MGM Resorts International. In this role, she led communication strategies for C-Suite executives and played a pivotal role in shaping public affairs strategies, collaborating closely with federal and state elected officials and regulators. In this capacity, Meghan implemented strategies to enhance executive visibility, facilitated global media engagements for CEOs, and played a crucial role in managing communications during significant events such as the largest mass shooting on US soil. Additionally, she spearheaded initiatives focused on thought leadership and digital profile development.
In June 2023, Meghan was appointed by President Biden to the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board.
Before her tenure with President Biden, Meghan held senior roles in five presidential campaigns, the United States Senate, and on a gubernatorial campaign.
